The Berkshire Waldorf School seeks a Pedagogical Director to guide the delivery of Waldorf education
with passion, understanding and demonstrated evidence of successful administration. The Pedagogical
Director is responsible for sustaining a healthy culture of teaching and learning, and a qualified candidate
will embody and promote the principles, values, and practices of Waldorf education. This includes, but is
not limited to, a deep anthroposophical understanding of child development as the basis for pedagogical
decision-making, as well as the ability to foster and support the collaborative, creative work of a Waldorf
faculty. The Pedagogical Director is a strong ambassador for core areas of pedagogical and curricular
development, such as developmental responsiveness and diversity and inclusivity. As a key member of
School Leadership, the Pedagogical Director brings forth the interests and contributions of the students,
families and faculty in organizational planning and decision-making, particularly as they pertain to the
learning program. The Pedagogical Director is a supervisor and supportive mentor for the full Faculty.
This position reports directly to the Board of Trustees.

Berkshire Waldorf School is seeking a full time Spanish teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Ideally,
candidates would have Waldorf teaching experience. In addition to teaching experience, candidates are
expected to be either a native speaker or have advanced fluency in Spanish. The candidate should also
have a strong connection to the culture and traditions of Spanish speaking nations with a focus on sharing
through song, poetry and stories for first through third grades, and a strong emphasis on conversation,
grammar, writing and reading comprehension for fourth grade on. Effective classroom management,
communication, and the ability to collaborate are priorities. Classroom support and mentoring will be
provided.
