Meet the First Grade Teacher!
Berkshire Waldorf School is so pleased to introduce Ms. Sophie Camardo as the First Grade Class Teacher for 2026-27 (Class of 2034).

Families whose children will be six by September 1 are invited to meet Ms. Camardo at the BWS Meet the First Grade Teacher event Thursday, April 16, at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. Parents and caregivers can register for this virtual event by RSVPing to Admissions Director Robyn Coe at admissions@berkshirewaldorfschool.org or 413-528-4015 x. 106.
Ms. Camardo, a Waldorf educator who originally hails from northern New Jersey, holds a B.S. in Child Studies with a minor in Special Education from Vanderbilt University. She has spent the past six years teaching at Linden Waldorf School in Nashville, Tennessee, where she is successfully completing a loop of First through Third Grade.
At Berkshire Waldorf School, as in most Waldorf schools worldwide, Grades School Class Teachers start with their class cohort in First Grade, and move through the Elementary School curriculum together, to build strong, long-term relationships for up to eight years.
In this initial meeting with Ms. Camardo, participants will gain a sense of what to expect in First Grade at Berkshire Waldorf School, and how they can help their children transition to this important next step in their educational journey.
RSVP to meet Sophie Camardo here: admissions@berkshirewaldorfschool.org.
Ms. Carmado will visit the Berkshires later this spring, and BWS will announce an in-person meeting at that time.
Berkshire Waldorf School is now accepting applications for September, welcomes students from all backgrounds, and offers tuition assistance for qualifying families.
